It has been quite some time since we saw Mugdha Godse on big screen. The lissome lassie now sizzles in the item track Media Se in the movie Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns.
The track Media Se is actually a satire on royalty. The song is composed by Sandeep Chowta and is crooned by Paroma Dasgupta. Like any other item number it too has catchy lyrics: Media se keh du kya re, main khule aam re, haye ke balma bandh kamre mein rajneeti kare.
Since this Tigmanshu Dhulia film is based on love, deceit, power games, and revolves around a royal family, the song exposes the dark side and ulterior motives of influential people. Tigmanshu Dhulia roped in Mugdha Godse because of the novelty factor. The model-turned-actress has never done an item song before, and thus the director thought it would be interesting if she agrees to do Media Se. Mugdha, too, liked the idea and she is also a fan of the first part of film, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster.
For a change, Mugdha’s look in the item track is sort of a gypsy girl. The shapely skirt she is wearing for the song has a thigh high slit, leaving her slender legs bare. And the skirt is not without the skimpiest of choli. So, there is enough skin show to make the song a scorching item. The video of the song also features several scenes from the film, spliced within the song.
Catch the track Media Se from Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, and tell us if the number makes a hit item track, or a dud, or just passes muster.
